The Chase: In the other rd. of a player's turn, they're first given a decision to make. They can either stay where they are & have to answer five Q's correctly (The Beast would start three steps away from the civilian), move forward a step & just have to correctly answer four (but his/her bank will be lowered- in James' case, it's $10K; The Beast would begin four steps away from the civilian) or go back a step & need to provide to Brooke six correct answers for a bigger bank (in his case, it would be $60K; however, The Beast will only be two moves away from the contestant). After that, both the player & Mark will be asked Q's w/ three answer choices; they secretly lock in their guesses. If the civilian's right, s/he moves one step closer to home; if The Beast's right, he gets closer to the civilian. If the player makes it to home, his/her money will be put in the team's bank that will be up for grabs in the Final Chase. Should they get caught by The Beast, though, they're eliminated from the game (unless all three get caught, at which point the bank for the FC will be set at $15K & they have to vote on who should represent the team there).

If The Beast gives an incorrect response, the clock's stopped & should the team then answer correctly, The Beast's moved back a step (if The Beast answers incorrectly while at the start, an extra step's awarded to the team). If time runs out on The Beast, they'll win/split the $$$.
