SC: McKenzie told the contestants inside the Dolby Theatre that the two teams had to design five original fantasy characters that might be found in a hyperstylized world (ogre, pixie, faun, troll & witch).

Ogre: RJ, Eric Z. & Frank vs. Tolin & Eddie
Faun: Roy vs. Laney & Rick
Troll: Tate vs. Adolfo
Pixie: Alana & Miranda vs. Lyma
Witch: Laura vs. Samantha & Scott
