6/16 Quick News & Notes

-The recent unsold pilot of "Every Second Counts" had nothing to do w/ the short-lived syndicated GS of the same name hosted by the late Bill Rafferty or the hit UK GS- it was hosted by Mark L. Wahlberg w/ John Cramer announcing & the top prize was $1M (on the original version of the show, the top prize was either a Mazda GLC Deluxe HB or Sedan).
-Michael Burger hosted an unsold "Slingo" pilot that had Randy West announcing; the top prize was $250K.
-Before last Thurs., the last time a Showcase winner had a five-honk win in One Away was 6/6/05 by Kelley Hoff (he also won two cars- a Pontiac Sunfire & a Ford Explorer). And even prior to Kelley, Keisha Cloird also instantly won a Sunfire in that PG on 1/12/05 & eventually got a DSW that won her a total of three automobiles (the other two she got were Chryslers- a 300 & a Sebring Convertible) & $90K+ in total winnings.
